What is an upline and a downline?
In Multi-Level Marketing (MLM), the terms upline and downline define the hierarchical relationships within the network. The upline refers to individuals who have recruited you into the MLM business. They offer support, training, and mentorship while earning commissions based on your sales performance and the sales made by your recruits. Essentially, the upline benefits financially from the success and activity of their downline members. Conversely, the downline consists of people you have recruited into the MLM. Your downline members' sales and performance contribute to your earnings, as you receive commissions or bonuses based on their activity. This creates a multi-tiered compensation structure where each level’s success impacts the earnings of those above them. Both the upline and downline work together within this network, influencing each other's income and success in the MLM system.
